    About

    Alexander Muse

Independent publisher and political commentator based in Dallas, Texas. I publish daily longform political analysis at amuseonx.com, reaching over ten million Americans each month through X, Substack, email, and SMS.

    Biography

I have spent the last four years building amuseXpress (@amuseonx) into one of the largest independent conservative analysis platforms in the United States. The account is ranked 261st among the most-followed Premium X users, has accumulated nearly four billion page views and four hundred million video views, and its work is regularly amplified by figures including Elon Musk, Donald Trump Jr., and Joe Rogan. My daily longform essays are published on Substack, Medium, X Articles, and an email newsletter that reaches more than five and a half million conservative voters each month.

Before turning to political analysis full time, I spent twenty-five years as a technology entrepreneur. I co-founded LayerOne, an early carrier-neutral data center company backed by Crest Communications, Cisco, and ADC, which was eventually sold to Equinix (NASDAQ: EQIX). I served as CEO of ShopSavvy, the first third-party Android application and the winner of the inaugural Android Developer Challenge, which grew to more than one hundred million native users before being sold. I led Architel, an SMB technology services firm, for nearly fifteen years through to a private equity exit. I hold three issued or filed patents in mobile commerce, product identification, and blockchain financial instruments.

I attended The University of Texas at Austin, where I competed on the national policy debate circuit under William Shanahan III, before leaving to join the United States Marine Corps. I serve as an Advisor to the John Milton Freedom Foundation, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to advancing press freedom by supporting independent journalists.

    Editorial standards

Factual claims in my essays are sourced inline to primary documents wherever they exist: court filings, agency releases, campaign finance reports, legislative text, polling crosstabs, and academic literature. Reasoned inferences are flagged as such and separated from the underlying evidence. When my work depends on a confidential source, I say so.

Corrections are posted to the original URL with a dated changelog rather than silently revised. Readers who identify errors are invited to contact me directly via Signal; substantive corrections are issued within twenty-four hours of confirmation.

I disclose all material affiliations. My work is supported by readers through Substack subscriptions, by sponsorship from the John Milton Freedom Foundation, and by commercial sponsors which are identified by name in any piece in which they are referenced.
