It is time for the world to recognize that the Democratic Party is blocking the only realistic solution to climate change.
If Democrats would simply agree to match China's nuclear power investment we could eliminate 80% of CO2 emissions by 2050 - more than enough to save the planet.

The World Health Organization reports that 150,000 people die each year from manmade climate change. Between now and 2050 the WHO estimates that CO2 emissions will kill millions and cost trillions. The UN tells us that failing to cut CO2 emissions by 80% by 2050 would be catastrophic. These are the statistics our leaders believe and yet their plans do not address drastic CO2 reduction. Instead, they're investing a trillion dollars in environmental justice, sustainable housing, job training for new green jobs, and subsidies for wind and solar technology development - none of which will get us even close to the CO2 reduction we need. So what do we do? What if I told you that our leaders have the resources and the technology to eliminate more than 80% of our CO2 emissions by 2050? If they decided to spend our tax dollars NOT solving the problem should we hold them accountable for the millions of deaths and trillions of dollars caused by their willful negligence has caused?
Between now and 2050 China will invest just $1 trillion in nuclear power to build 400 new reactors. These reactors will generate more than 350GW of electricity without producing any CO2. The United States, on the other hand, is going to invest more than a trillion dollars to address climate change by focusing on environmental justice, sustainable housing, job training for new green jobs, and subsidies for wind and solar technology development. Over the next decade, the investment will result in almost no additional clean energy capacity.
What if the U.S. took that trillion dollars and built 400 new reactors? Those reactors would allow us to completely stop using coal - significantly reducing our nation's CO2 emissions. If you believe climate change threatens mankind we have a silver bullet - nuclear energy. If you want the U.S. to have permanent energy independence we have a silver bullet - nuclear energy. If you want to create millions of jobs we have a silver bullet - nuclear energy. At the end of the day, it is time to hold politicians accountable for their failure to build nuclear power plants...
